Language and conversations regarding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression are evolving at a remarkable speed. In fact, they are evolving so quickly that many individuals – including those who identify as queer – find it challenging (and even scary) to engage colleagues and friends regarding these issues. To make conversations surrounding queer identity and inclusivity more routine, our presenters will provide insight into fundamental issues, including:

• Understanding of language used to explain queer identities and issues.
• Learning how queer issues have evolved over the last decade.
• Identifying ways that employers and colleagues can ensure that queer employees are embraced in the workplace through action, use of language and understanding.
• Educating employers and colleagues on steps to take to advance the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community.
