PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania are proud to announce that Temple University Beasley School of Law student Christopher J. Hirokawa is the recipient of the 2019 Stradley/APABA-PA Diversity Scholarship. Hirokawa was recognized at the Asian Pacific Bar Association of Pennsylvania's Annual Banquet on Oct. 5, 2018 at the Sheraton University City.

Hirokawa will join the firm as a summer associate in May 2019, splitting his time between Stradley Ronon and firm client Macquarie Investment Management, a global asset manager headquartered in Philadelphia. In addition to the paid summer associate position, Hirokawa will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Hirokawa received his B.A., cum laude, from Skidmore College and has worked as a legal intern at Internet2. Prior to entering law school Hirokawa was an executive assistant at Garriott Enterprises LLC in New York City.

“We’re proud to support Christopher and look forward to welcoming him to the firm this spring,” said Stradley Ronon Chairman William R. Sasso.

“We recognize the significance to the legal industry of cultivating and retaining diverse talent and are proud to offer this scholarship to Christopher as he launches his legal career,” said Stradley Ronon Partner Deborah Hong.

“Macquarie firmly believes that the diversity of our workforce is fundamental to our success and is committed to promoting initiatives and programs that support this vision,” said David Connor, General Counsel, Macquarie Investment Management. “We are honored to be a part of this program and look forward to Christopher’s contributions to the firm.”
