PHILADELPHIA — Partner Danielle Banks participated in a virtual forum, “Understanding Legal Risks While Staying True to Your DEI Strategy,” on April 4. The event, hosted by The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia and co-sponsored by Stradley Ronon, identified legal risks within the ever-changing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) landscape and their significance for a company’s overall business strategy.
Panelists addressed the issues DEI leaders currently face, common pitfalls when creating, implementing and maintaining DEI initiatives and how to develop legally compliant DEI strategies.
A frequent speaker and thought leader in the DEI space, Dani is the immediate past chair of Stradley Ronon’s diversity committee and the current diversity chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association. She defends businesses, universities and governmental entities against discrimination claims, including claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. Dani also defends governmental entities against Section 1983 claims.
