John Murphy Bikes From Arlington to Gettysburg to Raise Money for Wounded and Disabled Soldiers

Stradley Ronon Partner John Murphy participated in the 2015 Face of America Ride, a non-competitive bicycle ride that benefits wounded and disabled soldiers. More than 135 disabled veterans joined the nearly 600 riders who made the 110-mile journey from the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, to the Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This year’s race raised $531,000.

Murphy is an avid cyclist who also participates in the American Diabetes Association’s annual Tour de Cure and other charity rides for the American Cancer Society and the MS Society. He is a litigation partner in Stradley Ronon’s Philadelphia office, where he leads a team of attorneys who have been engaged by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to investigate potential claims against former bank officers and directors for negligence, gross negligence and breach of fiduciary duties in connection with their administration and operation of their now defunct banks.
