PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner John Murphy participated on April 28 and 29 in the 2018 Face of America Ride, a two day, non-competitive bike ride that benefits wounded and disabled soldiers. More than 150 wounded veterans were part of the nearly 600 riders who cycled 110 miles from the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, to the Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg, PA. This year’s race raised $570,000 for future programs. Stradley Ronon attorneys and staff made financial contributions in support of the ride.
Murphy is an avid cyclist who also participates in the American Diabetes Association’s annual Tour de Cure and other charity rides for the American Cancer Society, the MS Society and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. Murphy is a litigation partner in Stradley Ronon’s Cherry Hill, NJ office. His recent work has included the representation of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in connection with bank failures in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida and the representation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, redevelopment authorities and other government agencies in connection with the condemnation of properties in connection with major public projects including the expansion of the Philadelphia Convention Center. Murphy also regularly represents broker-dealers and their registered representatives in securities arbitrations, court proceedings and disciplinary proceedings.
