PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Sara P. Crovitz served as a panelist at the Practising Law Institute’s Private Fund Regulatory Developments and Compliance Challenges Conference on Jan. 31 in New York. Crovitz’s panel, “Regulatory Developments and Compliance Challenges Facing SEC-Regulated Private Funds,” discussed 2019 SEC examination priorities, compliance challenges, advertising and marketing issues and challenges, and lessons from recent SEC ‘failure to supervise’ cases.
Before joining Stradley Ronon, Crovitz had more than 20 years of experience at the SEC. In her most recent position of Deputy Chief Counsel, Crovitz worked with a team of over 50 attorneys in issuing exemptive orders, no-action/interpretive letters, IM Guidance Updates and other written and oral guidance, including guidance related to MiFID II, clean shares and auditor independence. For many years, she also led the Division of Investment Management's international obligations including IOSCO and FSB work streams.
