PHILADELPHIA –
Deborah A. Reperowitz, co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s
bankruptcy, workouts and creditors’ rights practice group, presented at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution’s (CPR) Banking & Financial Services Committee Meeting on Oct. 7. Reperowitz discussed her service as a mediator in the Madoff bankruptcy case, including the ADR process established in the case and the application and success of the process. The presentation included a discussion of why mediation is particularly effective in bankruptcy cases and whether the same or similar processes should be adopted in other non-bankruptcy cases.
