PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Fund Alliance (PFA), a group of Philadelphia-based asset management industry professionals, is pleased to announce it will host its annual fundraising gala in person on Thursday, Nov. 4, at The Logan Philadelphia. Proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of the Wissahickon, a 2,700 member nonprofit organization, which conserves and improves the 1800-acre Wissahickon Valley Park.

“Now in our sixth year, we wanted to center our fundraising efforts on how we can support our local ecosystems, and helping to raise money for one of the most beloved parks in the Greater Philadelphia region, does just that,” said Bruce G. Leto, PFA steering committee member and co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s investment management group. “We’re excited and look forward to a successful event.”

More than 200 Philadelphia-area asset management professionals will enjoy a cocktail reception, live auction, seated dinner and attend a presentation from the night’s guest speakers, who include Dean Sackett, Chief Government Affairs Officer at the Investment Company Institute, and Kathleen Mellody, Senior Government Affairs Officer at the Investment Company Institute.

Formed in 2016, PFA was created to hold an annual fundraiser to benefit a charity in the Greater Philadelphia area and to celebrate Philadelphia’s deep roots and influence in the registered funds, asset management and alternatives industries. Last year, the event raised a total of $80,000 for Coded by Kids, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit preparing underrepresented young people to succeed as tech and innovation leaders through project-based learning and mentorship. Since its formation, PFA has raised over $365,000 for Greater Philadelphia area charities.

Sponsors for 2021 included: BBD, LLP; Deloitte & Touche LLP; EY; Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP; KPMG LLP; Lovell Minnick Partners LLC; Macquarie Investment Management; Mondrian Investment Partners; Morgan Lewis; PwC; SEI Investments Company; Stradley Ronon and Tait Weller.
