Jamie Gershkow Speaks on Money Market Funds Panel at SIFMA Operations Conference and Exhibition

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Jamie M. Gershkow was a featured panelist at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA)’s 49th Annual Operations Conference & Exhibition, which took place in Phoenix, AZ, from May 16-19. Gershkow’s session, “Money Market Funds,” examined the SEC’s proposed amendments to Rule 2a-7 under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and discussed the industry’s view on the benefits and the challenges of the proposed amendments.

Gershkow is a partner and member of the firm’s investment management group. She focuses her practice on advising investment companies, independent trustees and investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters and the applicability and interpretation of securities laws. She frequently counsels on the formation, registration, and ongoing compliance of investment companies, including exchange-traded funds and money market funds.

Gershkow assists money market fund clients in addressing the many varied matters impacting money market fund management, operations and compliance, including analyzing recently proposed amendments to Rule 2a-7, developing and reviewing compliance procedures, conducting training sessions for money fund personnel, advising on day‐to‐day portfolio management compliance matters for money funds and reviewing money fund regulatory filings. She also advises independent trustees of investment companies in corporate governance and regulatory matters.
