NEW YORK – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner Jamie M. Gershkow presented at Crane Data’s Money Fund University - Master’s in Money Markets, which took place in Boston on Dec. 16. Gershkow’s session, “Money Fund Regulations: 2a-7 Basics & History,” provided an overview of Rule 2a-7 under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and discussed the potential impact of recent proposed amendments to Rule 2a-7.
Gershkow is a partner and member of the firm’s investment management group. She focuses her practice on advising investment companies, independent trustees and investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters and the applicability and interpretation of securities laws. She frequently counsels on the formation, registration and ongoing compliance of investment companies, including exchange-traded funds and money market funds.
Gershkow assists money market fund clients in addressing the many varied matters impacting money market fund management, operations and compliance, including analyzing recently proposed amendments to Rule 2a-7, developing and reviewing compliance procedures, conducting training sessions for money fund personnel, advising on day‐to‐day portfolio management compliance matters for money funds and reviewing money fund regulatory filings.
