PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner Nicole Simon received Pennsylvania State University’s College of the Liberal Arts 2023 Outstanding Early Career Alumni Award from the Department of Psychology on May 2. Ms. Simon graduated with highest distinction in 2007 with a bachelor’s in psychology as a Schreyer Honors Scholar. This award honors outstanding alumni and others who have made significant contributions to the College, the University, business and society.
Ms. Simon is the chair of the firm’s alternative funds practice group, a founding member of the firm’s derivatives and commodities practice group and an active member of the investment management group. She counsels a diverse set of clients in the asset management industry on the broad scope of traditional and novel regulatory issues and practical considerations relevant to their initial formation and continued operations. She advises investment advisers, registered investment companies, private funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs), business development companies (BDCs) and their boards of trustees/directors on the application and interpretation of the federal securities and commodities laws, often with respect to alternative strategies in the retail fund context and the use of derivatives.
