PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Kevin R. Casey was selected by Best Lawyers as a 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” for trademark law in Philadelphia. Best Lawyers names a single lawyer in each specialty in each community as “Lawyer of the Year.” Those honored have received particularly outstanding ratings in the surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.

Casey is chair of the intellectual property and the IP litigation groups at Stradley Ronon and an active member of the alternative dispute resolution group. In addition to being listed annually by Best Lawyers in America in several substantive intellectual property fields, this is the fourth time that Best Lawyers has named Casey as its “Lawyer of the Year” in Philadelphia. He previously received the 2015 Philadelphia LOTY award for trademark law; the 2012 Philadelphia LOTY award for patent law; and the 2010 Philadelphia LOTY award for intellectual property law. Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business has also identified Casey as a leader in intellectual property in Pennsylvania. He has counseled clients for over 30 years in all aspects of the IP field, focusing on patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, licensing and opinions. Casey has also been lead litigation counsel and has participated as assistant counsel in more than 60 cases. He has an appellate practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where he clerked for former Chief Judge Helen Nies.
