Stradley’s Investment Management Attorneys Discuss SEC’s ETF Rule with WE Philadelphia

– Stradley Ronon hosted the Philadelphia Chapter of Women in ETFs (WE Philadelphia) panel discussion, titled “SEC’s ETF Rule,” on Jan. 16 at the firm’s headquarters. Stradley Ronon Associate Miranda Sturgis moderated an informative and interactive session about the potential impact of the new SEC rule on the ETF industry and what it means for the future of ETFs. Sturgis was joined by industry experts, including Stradley Partner Steve Feinour who served as a panelist.

WE is a nonprofit organization that brings together people in the ETF industry to develop and sponsor talent, recognize and honor the achievements of women in the industry and invest in the ETF community.

Sturgis, an associate in Stradley Ronon’s investment group, focuses her practice on counseling investment companies and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues. She assists in the representation of clients in various investment management and securities law matters, including preparing regulatory filings, drafting and reviewing registration statements and proxy solicitation materials, researching various securities and corporate law issues and drafting corporate policies and compliance procedures.

Feinour is a partner in Stradley Ronon’s investment management group and counsels investment companies and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues. He regularly advises clients on matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of investment companies, including index-based and actively managed ETFs.
