PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is honored to announce that
Danielle Banks, partner and member of the firm’s employment and labor group, has been selected to
Savoy Magazine’s Most Influential Black Lawyers. The prestigious listing showcases African American lawyers throughout the country recognized for their “legal leadership and expertise in national and global-leading corporations.”
A member of the firm for almost 30 years, Banks has earned the respect of clients and adversaries alike by successfully litigating matters to victory through summary judgment and is known for her impressive trial victory rate. She devotes a significant amount of her time to defending businesses, universities, and governmental entities against employment discrimination claims, including claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.
Among her many activities in the community, Banks is a board member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group (PDLG) and served as co-president from 2010 to 2012. She is the former chair of the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Diversity Award Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association and immediate past chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. She is also a member of The Forum of Executive, whose core mission is to expand the impact and power of women in the workplace and beyond.
A known leader in the legal field, Banks was recognized by the National Diversity Council with their coveted Most Powerful & Influential Women award and was named by
The Legal Intelligencer as Diverse Attorney of the Year. She received the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia J. Austin Norris Award, which celebrates attorneys who commit to advancing black professionals in the Philadelphia legal community. She also received the Albert S. Dandridge, III Diversity Award from the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Business Law Section, which honors an individual that has demonstrated a strong commitment and made a substantial contribution in the Philadelphia area to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
