Stradley Ronon Partner Steve Feinour Discusses ETFs at Cohen & Co. Client Conference

PHILADELPHIA – Partner J. Stephen Feinour and other industry professionals brought the recent Stradley Ronon-hosted discussion on building a successful exchange-traded fund (ETF) business to a new audience as part of Cohen & Company’s Client Conference in Cleveland on Nov. 9. This iteration of the panel featured Mr. Feinour along with professionals from Cohen & Company, the New York Stock Exchange, U.S. Bank Global Fund Services, Mirae Asset Securities (USA) Inc. and Vident Asset Management.

 

The panel discussed the various options for market entry and the related economics, how to manage day-to-day operations, considerations for selecting service providers, general best practices when growing an ETF business and recent industry trends.   

 

Feinour is a partner in the firm’s investment management practice and a frequent speaker on ETF-related topics. He focuses his practice on counseling investment companies and investment advisers on a wide range of issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws. He regularly advises clients on matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of all types of investment companies, including 1940 Act ETFs, 1933 Act-only ETPs and mutual funds. In particular, he has advised numerous startup investment advisers and established global investment firms in developing, launching and operating index-based and actively managed ETFs across all asset classes. This includes advising clients on digital-asset-related 1940 Act ETFs and 1933 Act-only ETPs.
