Partner Steve Feinour Joins Panel for NYSE’s Annual ETF Industry Summit

J. Stephen Feinour participated in the NYSE’s (New York Stock Exchange) Annual ETF Industry Summit on Oct. 30, 2023. Feinour spoke on the panel “Enhancing Accessibility: A Review of the Multi-Share Class Filings” alongside other ETF (exchange-traded fund) industry professionals discussing the recent ETF share class exemptive application filings.

The summit aims to explore the advancements and emerging trends impacting the ETF industry, with this year’s themes including multi-share class ETFs, digital asset and cryptocurrency ETFs, SMA (separately managed account) and mutual fund to ETF conversions, the evolving landscape of market structure reforms and the latest trends in ETF marketing and distribution.

Feinour focuses his practice on counseling investment companies and investment advisers on a wide range of issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws. He regularly advises clients on matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of all types of investment companies, including 1940 Act ETFs, 1933 Act only ETPs and mutual funds.  In particular, he has advised numerous start-up investment advisers and established global investment firms in developing, launching and operating index-based and actively managed ETFs across all asset classes. This includes advising clients on digital asset related 1940 Act ETFs and 1933 Act only ETPs.  He frequently presents on ETF-related topics.
