PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon partner Danielle Banks participated in a panel at Temple University Beasley School of Law titled “Black Lawyers Matter: Celebrating JoAnne Epps’ Legacy, Impact and Vision” on Nov. 13.

The late Temple University President JoAnne Epps’ final scholarly work documented the impact of a generation of Black Yale Law School graduates as part of the case for continued commitment to racial diversity at law schools. To honor Epps’ work, a panel of Black Temple Law graduates came together to discuss her impact on their lives and careers, along with Epps’ ideas for advancing diversity in legal education. They also shared actionable recommendations for the Temple Law community to further her vision for inclusive excellence.

A known leader in the area of employment and labor, Banks devotes a significant amount of her practice to defending businesses, universities and governmental entities against employment discrimination claims, including claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. She also regularly counsels clients and is a frequent speaker on issues of race, employment, diversity and inclusion. Banks currently serves as the diversity chair for the Philadelphia Bar Association.
