Stradley Ronon Partner Susan Gault-Brown Leads PLI Panel on Fintech Investment Fund Developments

WASHINGTON – Stradley Ronon partner Susan Gault-Brown, chair of the firm’s fintech practice and a member of the firm’s leading investment management practice, led a discussion on “Investment Fund FinTech Developments” as part of the Practising Law Institute (PLI)’s FinTech 2023 in New York. During the Dec. 5 event, industry leaders shared their perspectives on the latest advancements in fintech.

 

Susan and fellow panelists discussed the current state of play for registered investment companies seeking to invest in digital assets; tokenization of securities issued by registered investment companies; the status of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approvals of Bitcoin ETPs; and custody of digital assets by registered investment companies.

 

A highly regarded leader in the fintech and asset management fields, Susan has significant knowledge of emerging financial services products that are web- and app-based, including digital assets and blockchain, crowdfunding platforms, primary and secondary investment platforms, and robo-advisers.
