Michael Amugo is an active member of the firm’s leading investment management group and focuses his practice on representing investment companies and investment advisers. He frequently advises clients on all legal aspects of regulatory, compliance and transactional issues.
Michael received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he served as a staff editor for the Drexel Law Review. Michael also received his LL.B. from the University of Nigeria, a J.D. equivalent under the Nigerian legal system. He also received a Barrister-At-Law designation from the Nigerian Law School, graduating in the top 1% of his class. During law school, Michael was a member of the summer associate class at Stradley Ronon as well as a legal intern in the Office of the General Counsel for the Vanguard Group.
In addition, Michael has received his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also earned a Wharton Business and Law Certificate with a concentration in private equity and strategic management. Michael also worked as a legal intern, research assistant and as associate in Nigeria.
